Team Lead/Software Engineer - Java Technologies

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities : - Supervise teams within the software development function - Responsible for one or more product areas for Verint's Enterprise product suite - Develop and implement software development plans, processes, and procedures and ensures they are adhered to - Lead in team activities, Requirements gathering & analysis, - and the related reviews - Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing software - May serve in a scrum master role as part of the agile software development process - Ensure the team achieves the agreed timelines and milestones, reliability & performance, quality measures and meets the overall acceptance criteria of their responsible product areas - Evaluate results with stakeholders to determine if organizational objectives are being met - Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cycle - Perform root cause analysis - Act as a point of contact and escalation for the team/function Minimum Requirements : - BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related degree - 8 years of software development experience - 3 years of Team Lead experience - Strong Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework - Knowledge of HTTP/Rest-based protocols principals - Strong Proficiency with SQL databases, such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL. - Experience in DB schema design. - Strong proficiency with Jira/Confluence - Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) - Experience with designing and building fault-tolerant, highly-available, distributed systems - Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within software design and development - Experience in Object Oriented analysis and design - Strong troubleshooting & debugging capabilities in an agile software development team environment - Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projects - Successful completion of Verint's background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification Preferred Requirements : - Advanced degree preferred - Knowledge of Windows and Linux. - Experience with private/public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Redis - Experience with CI/CD tools, Jenkins - Proficiency using a source control system (GitHub) - Experience with Monitoring/Logging/Visualization systems such as DataDog, Prometheus, Graphana - Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks across team boundaries and/or geographically dispersed teams - Excellent organization, time management, and project leadership skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Adheres to strict deliverable deadlines while able to multi-tas (ref:hirist.tech)
