Senior Database Engineer - PostgreSQL

Experience : 8-10 Years. Location : Remote. Educational Qualification : - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering (or equivalent). Job Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and implement complex database programs using PostgreSQL and Oracle, including third-party tools. - Ensure database programs comply with organizational standards and guidelines. - Performance tune SQL queries, application programs, and database instances for optimal efficiency. - Evaluate and integrate emerging database technologies and tools. - Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems effectively. - Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise to improve team capabilities. - Collaborate within an Agile team environment and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning. Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills : - Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQL - Functions, triggers, views, and advanced programming. - Strong expertise with Oracle database development:. - Functions, procedures, triggers, packages, views, and advanced PL/SQL concepts. - Knowledge of Collections Objects and advanced PL/SQL concepts. - Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures, SQL statements, and application programs. - Experience in performance tuning for both SQLs and application programs. - Familiarity with AWS and its ecosystem. - Knowledge of Java is an added advantage.
