Responsibilities : - Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure for video streaming and video calling services. - Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimise video encoding, transcoding, and delivery workflows. - Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of video infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform. - Implement and maintain security best practices for video communication systems, including encryption and access control mechanisms. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure seamless video streaming and calling experiences. - Stay updated with the latest developments in video streaming technologies and recommend improvements to enhance our platform's performance and reliability. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on video streaming or real-time communication systems. - Strong understanding of video encoding, transcoding, and streaming protocols (e.g. WebRTC, RTMP, HLS). - Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Amazon Elastic Container Service. - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for video infrastructure (e.g. , FFmpeg, Wowza Streaming Engine, Grafana, Prometheus). - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in video communication systems. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment (ref:hirist.tech)
