Data Modeler - Erwin/ER-Studio

Job Title : Data Modeler Location : Fully Remote Experience : Minimum 5 years in Data Modeling Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on at least two projects as a Data Modeler and possess extensive expertise in data modeling, database design, metadata management, and SQL. A strong understanding of the healthcare domain is essential, with exposure to standards like HL7, FHIR, and OMOP considered a Responsibilities : Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering : - Discover, analyze, and scope data requirements. - Create high-level process models to represent processes for the area under analysis. - Perform data profiling and source analysis to understand existing business system data. Data Architecture and Modeling : - Design robust data architectures and strategies, employing Entity-Relationship modeling. - Create detailed source-to-target mapping documents, including transformation logic and harmonization. - Develop star and snowflake schemas tailored for retrospective data analysis. - Create and manage data solution diagrams such as data flow diagrams and use case models. Healthcare Data Expertise : - Leverage healthcare domain knowledge in developing models. - Work with standards like HL7, FHIR, OMOP, and implement IBM UDMH models. Technical Expertise : - Develop and implement normalization and denormalization techniques for data. - Manage and utilize metadata effectively using appropriate tools. - Oversee master data management and reference data management processes. Collaboration and Tools : - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective models. - Use enterprise-level modeling tools like IDA, ERWin, ER-Studio, or similar. Required Skills and Qualifications : Experience : - 5 years in Data Modeling. - 4 years in SQL and Database Modeling. - 3 years in Metadata : - Strong skills in Entity-Relationship modeling, star/snowflake schema modeling. - Advanced understanding of data normalization and denormalization techniques. - Proficiency in metadata management tools and processes. - Skilled in implementing IBM UDMH models and healthcare data modeling.
