SAP ABAP Developer Location : Bangalore Department : SAP Development / IT Applications Role : Contractor for 6 months Experience : 10 years Job Type : Hybrid/Work for office, 2 days a week Timings : 1 PM to 9 PM (IST) Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) to join our SAP team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver technical solutions for complex business processes within the SAP ecosystem. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP ABAP programming, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications - Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience with a focus on RICEFW objects. - Proven expertise in multiple SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP). Technical Skills : - Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP. - Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and error handling in SAP. - Knowledge of ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse. - Familiarity with OData services, SAP Gateway, and Fiori development. - Hands-on experience with BAPI, BADI, IDocs, and ALE/EDI configurations. - Knowledge of database concepts and SQL scripting in SAP environments. Analytical and Communication Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - SAP -certification in ABAP is desirable. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs to meet business requirements. - Develop and modify RICEFW objects including : 1. Reports : Build interactive and ALV reports. 2. Interfaces : Integrate SAP with third-party systems using RFC, BAPI, IDocs, or OData services. 3. Conversions : Handle data migration using tools like BDC, LSMW, or SAP Data Services. 4. Enhancements : Implement user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement frameworks to extend SAP functionalities. 5. Forms : Create and customize SAPScripts, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms for printing and display purposes. 6. Workflows : Design and implement SAP Workflow for automated process handling. - Collaborate with functional consultants to gather and analyze business requirements. - Translate functional specifications into detailed technical specifications. - Integrate SAP modules with external systems and applications using middleware technologies. - Optimize code and SQL queries for performance improvements. - Provide support for existing SAP applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise. - Participate in SAP system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
