Network Security Specialist - VPN/Firewall

Job Description : We are looking for a skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 3-9 years of experience in network security, responsible for safeguarding our network infrastructure and ensuring data integrity. Key Responsibilities : - Monitor, manage, and maintain network security devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. - Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure. - Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks. - Respond to security incidents, analyze threats, and implement appropriate remediation measures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall network security posture. - Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively protect the organization. - Provide support for network architecture and design to ensure security best practices are integrated. Required Skills : - Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs). - Experience with network security tools and technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet). - Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). - Ability to analyze security incidents and provide actionable insights. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
