Automation Test Lead - Selenium/TestNG

As an Automation Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the automation testing efforts within the team. You will design, develop, and implement automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and facilitate effective testing processes, while mentoring junior testers and ensuring adherence to best practices in automation testing. Key Responsibilities : Automation Framework Development : - Design and develop robust automation test frameworks to streamline the testing process. - Enhance existing frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of automated testing. Test Script Development : - Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Identify opportunities for test automation and develop test cases accordingly. Collaboration with Development Teams : - Work closely with development and QA teams to understand application functionalities and requirements. - Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective. Test Planning and Strategy : - Develop and implement test strategies and plans for automation testing. - Analyze requirements and determine test case feasibility for automation. Mentorship and Team Leadership : - Lead and mentor a team of automation testers, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team. Reporting and Metrics : - Generate and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting test coverage, results, and quality metrics. - Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. Defect Management : - Identify, document, and track defects found during automated testing. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Continuous Integration : - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure efficient deployment cycles. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth execution of automated tests. Key Skills Required : - Strong experience in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestNG, JUnit). - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab). - Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
