Job Overview : As a Google Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Cloud Infrastructure Design : Design and architect cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to meet the organization's needs, including virtual machines, storage solutions, networks, and security configurations. - Deployment and Automation : Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Google Deployment Manager to automate provisioning and configuration. - Application Deployment : Deploy and manage applications on GCP, including containerized applications using Kubernetes or other orchestration tools. - Security and Compliance : Ensure cloud solutions meet security and compliance standards, including implementing access controls, encryption, and monitoring for vulnerabilities. - Monitoring and Optimization : Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track resource utilization, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance. - Backup and Disaster Recovery : Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators, to align cloud solutions with business goals. - Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and best practices. - Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services in a timely manner. - Stay Current : Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, best practices, and industry trends to recommend improvements and optimizations.
