Mobile Application Tester - Functional/Regression Modeling

Experience Level : 6 Years Job Summary : We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Mobile Application Tester to ensure the highest quality of our mobile applications. You will play a critical role in our development process, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices. Key Responsibilities : 1. Test Planning and Strategy : - Develop and implement test strategies and plans for mobile applications, including defining scope, approach, resources, and schedule. 2. Test Design and Execution : - Create, maintain, and execute test cases and scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements. - Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing. 3. Automation : - Design and implement automated test scripts using tools like Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage. - Continuously enhance and maintain automated test frameworks and tools. 4. Defect Management : - Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner. 5. Performance and Security Testing : - Conduct performance testing to ensure application stability and responsiveness under load. - Execute security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards. 6. Collaboration and Communication : - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and UX/UI designers, to understand application requirements and provide testing insights. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. 7. Documentation and Reporting : - Create and maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and testing results. - Generate test summary reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and outcomes to stakeholders. 8. Continuous Improvement : - Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in mobile testing. - Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of testing standards. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 6 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on mobile applications (iOS and Android). - Proven experience in test automation and proficiency with tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest. - Strong understanding of mobile development environments, including familiarity with iOS and Android SDKs. - Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. - Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools.
