APIGEE Developer

Responsibilities : API Design & Development : - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand API requirements and translate them into well-defined API specifications. - Design and develop secure, reliable, and reusable APIs using Apigee proxy services and policies. - Implement authentication, authorization, and throttling mechanisms to ensure secure and controlled access to APIs. - Utilize data mapping and transformation techniques to integrate APIs with various backend systems and data sources. Deployment & Management : - Deploy APIs to the Apigee platform, ensuring proper configuration and performance optimization. - Monitor API usage and performance metrics to identify potential issues and implement improvements. - Implement version control strategies and manage the API lifecycle throughout development, testing, and production deployment. Technical Expertise : - Possess a strong understanding of API design principles (RESTful APIs, API contracts, versioning). - In-depth knowledge of Google Apigee platform functionalities (proxies, policies, security features). - Experience with API integration methodologies (SOAP, REST, GraphQL). - Experience with scripting languages (e.g, Java, JavaScript, Python) is a plus. - Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques is a plus. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines for API delivery is a plus.
