Software Development Engineer II - Ruby on Rails

Job Description : We are seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) with experience in Ruby development to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities : - Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Ruby and Ruby on Rails and Golang. - Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and front-end developers to bring new features to life, ensuring a seamless user experience. - Write clean, well-structured code, following industry best practices and maintaining high standards of quality. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, focusing on improving the reliability and performance of our applications. - Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to uphold code quality and consistency. - Contribute to discussions on system architecture, design improvements, and technical solutions that enhance efficiency. - Stay updated with industry trends, leveraging best practices and the latest tools to continually improve the codebase. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails and Golang. - Proficiency with relational databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with RESTful APIs. - Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows. - Strong analytical and debugging skills with a proactive problem-solving approach. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
