Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced API Automation associate to join our Quality Assurance team in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in testing APIs using tools like RestAssured, SoapUI, Selenium, and Postman, and have a strong proficiency in C#. You will work within an Agile development environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. Responsibilities : Test Planning and Strategy : - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for API testing. - Define test objectives, scope, and testing approaches aligned with project goals. Test Case Development and Execution : - Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for RESTful and SOAP APIs. - Utilize Postman for manual and automated API testing. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing. Collaboration : - Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand requirements and implement effective testing strategies. - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Defect Management : - Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools. - Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and ensure timely fixes. Continuous Improvement : - Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API testing and automation. - Continuously seek ways to improve testing processes and frameworks Must Have : Experience : 5-8 years of experience in API automation testing in the insurance domain. - Proficiency in using RestAssured, SoapUI, Selenium, and Postman for API testing. - Strong programming skills in C#. Technical Skills : - Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Soft Skills : - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment. - Experience in the insurance industry. - Knowledge of cloud services and microservices architecture.
