Saasvaap - Solution Engineer - Cloud Services

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer with 8-10 years of technical leadership, software architecture, and design experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable software solutions leveraging AWS cloud services and open-source technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, bridge the gap between technical and business needs, and contribute to the architecture of solutions that drive business outcomes. If you have a passion for delivering high-impact solutions and are experienced in leading software projects, we would love to hear from you Key Responsibilities : - Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable software solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. - Own the overall solution architecture, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and maintainable designs. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions that are effective, cost-efficient, and secure. - Work with stakeholders to identify business challenges and architect technology solutions that meet and exceed those challenges. - Develop and implement applications using a range of AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3), programming languages (Python, PHP), and frameworks (Laravel, Serverless Microservices). - Design serverless architectures and microservices to ensure scalability, flexibility, and performance across distributed systems. - Create robust and reusable code, ensuring that software solutions are efficient and secure. - Work with open-source technologies to build and enhance software products, ensuring compatibility with existing systems. - Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment strategies to optimize the software development lifecycle. - Apply Agile methodologies to ensure efficient development cycles, regular releases, and iterative improvements. - Optimize AWS cloud solutions for both performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring that applications meet the performance benchmarks while minimizing cloud infrastructure costs. - Perform cloud cost optimization by fine-tuning AWS configurations, leveraging Reserved Instances, and right-sizing resources. - Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to understand business requirements and explain technical concepts in an accessible manner. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure product requirements are aligned with the technical implementation. - Mentor junior engineers and assist in their technical growth, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed. - Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability. - Drive test-driven development (TDD) and ensure that quality assurance processes are followed. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree a plus). - 8-10 years of experience in technical leadership roles with a focus on software architecture and design. - Expertise in designing and developing scalable, distributed applications using AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, and experience with serverless architectures and microservices. - Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation). - Strong understanding of cloud cost management and performance optimization strategies. - Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver solutions. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (ref:hirist.tech)
