Data Scientist - Predictive Modeling

Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in banking/payments analytics and advanced machine learning (ML) techniques to develop and deploy predictive models, driving impactful business insights for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions and help shape the future of financial services. This is an onsite position, requiring the candidate to be present in the office 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy predictive analytics and machine learning solutions to address complex business challenges within the banking/payments domain. - Lead end-to-end analytics projects, from problem scoping and data collection to model deployment and stakeholder communication. - Analyse large datasets using SQL, Tableau, and other relevant tools to uncover actionable insights. - Work with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and other distributed platforms to process and analyse vast amounts of structured and unstructured data. - Collaborate with stakeholders (internal teams and external clients) to understand their business needs and translate them into analytical solutions. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders effectively. - Provide consulting and strategic insights to enhance decision-making and improve operational efficiency. - Continuously explore and evaluate new methodologies, tools, and techniques in the fields of data science, analytics, and machine learning. Required Qualifications & Skills : - 3 years of experience in banking/payments analytics in a consulting environment. - Strong proficiency in developing and deploying Predictive/ML solutions. - Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and Tableau for data analysis and visualization. - Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark or similar platforms. - Familiarity with additional tools and technologies like R, Scala, or AWS. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. - Must be proficient in Mandarin, both written and spoken, for communication with global teams and clients.
