SAP BODS Consultant - Support & Implementation

Job Description : - Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models. - Design and develop efficient data flows, transformations, and mappings to extract, cleanse, and transform data from various sources. - Develop robust and scalable ETL processes using BODS to extract, transform, and load data into target systems. - Utilize advanced BODS features such as data profiling, data quality checks, and data cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy and consistency. - Integrate data from diverse sources, including SAP systems, databases, flat files, and other applications, using various connectors and APIs. - Handle complex data transformations, aggregations, and calculations to meet business requirements. - Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency by identifying and resolving bottlenecks. - Implement best practices for data loading, indexing, and partitioning to improve query performance. - Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and integrity. - Monitor data quality metrics and take corrective actions to maintain data quality standards. - Diagnose and resolve complex data integration issues. - Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot production issues. - Create clear and concise technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data mappings, and job schedules. - Maintain up-to-date documentation for all ETL processes and data flows. Required Skills and Experience : - 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP BODS (Data Services) - Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) - In-depth knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling - Experience with SAP systems (ERP, BW, HANA) is a plus - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices - Strong understanding of data security and privacy best practices Desired Skills : - Experience with SAP Data Services 4.x - Knowledge of SAP HANA and its integration with BODS - Experience with data virtualization and data quality tools - Familiarity with cloud-based data integration solutions (e., SAP Data Intelligence) (ref:hirist.tech)
