Lead SAP Data Migration Consultant

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies, including data assessment, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes. - Identify and analyze data sources, target systems, and data volumes to determine optimal migration approaches. - Define data quality standards and implement robust data validation procedures. - Create detailed data mapping documents to accurately map source data to target fields. - Develop and implement data transformation rules and scripts to ensure data consistency and accuracy. - Utilize data migration tools and techniques to efficiently transform and cleanse data. - Oversee the data loading process, including scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Perform rigorous data validation and reconciliation to identify and resolve data discrepancies. - Conduct post-migration data quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed. - Lead and mentor a team of data migration specialists, providing guidance and support. - Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of migration activities. - Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. - Strong proficiency in SAP modules (e., ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) and data migration tools (e., LSMW, SLT, Data Services). - In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. - Experience with data migration methodologies, including initial load, delta loads, and data archiving. - Ability to analyze complex data issues and identify innovative solutions. - Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and mitigate risks. - Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Qualifications and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 8 years of experience in SAP data migration, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. - Deep understanding of SAP data structures, data flows, and master data concepts. - Experience with data migration tools and techniques, including ETL tools and scripting languages. - Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team (ref:hirist.tech)
