Lead Software Engineer - Python/Golang

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineering leader to play a key role in our team focusing on onboarding our strategic clients. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you will work closely with a people manager, driving the technical direction of our integration efforts. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams across the organisation to ensure our integration technology is robust and scalable, effectively- supporting our ambitious growth pipeline. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of integrations, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals. - Own the Engineering Excellence of the integration practice by mentoring and elevating engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and technical solutions. - Support the hiring process to build a high-performing team. - Contribute directly to the codebase, primarily in Python and Golang, while also providing technical leadership and oversight. - Develop and maintain processes that drive efficiency and positive outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation. - Wear multiple hats as needed to support the team and drive for results. - Leverage your expertise in AWS to architect and maintain cloud-based solutions that meet the demands of our integrations. Qualifications : - 5 years of technical leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading successful engineering teams. - Proficiency in Python and strong experience with Golang. - Deep understanding of building and maintaining integrations. - Stellar communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Experience in hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers, with a passion for helping others grow and succeed. - Strong proficiency in AWS, with experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure. - Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and aligned engineering culture. Nice to Have : - Previous experience in payments or fintech is a plus. - Experience working across multiple time zones. - Experience with Dagster, or similar orchestration tools. (ref:hirist.tech)
