Senior ETL Developer - Data Modeling

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in T-SQL, ETL tools, and RDBMS concepts, along with a passion for data engineering and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities : T-SQL Expertise : - Demonstrate proficiency in creating T-SQL functions, stored procedures, views, triggers, complex queries, and optimizing query performance using techniques like indexing and user-defined types. ETL Development : - Leverage at least 3 years of experience in ETL concepts and a specific ETL tool to design and implement efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. RDBMS Proficiency : - Possess a deep understanding of RDBMS constructs and CAP Theory, including redo and rollback functionalities. Performance Optimization : - Apply performance by design principles to optimize data stores for OLTP and OLAP workloads. Data Warehousing Knowledge : - Articulate the differences between Bill Inmon and Ralph Kimball schools of thought in data warehousing and explain the advantages and disadvantages of their design principles. Data Modeling : - Demonstrate a strong understanding of various data modeling principles, including Canonical data model, ER model, Star schema, and Data lake. Required Skills : - Min 7 years of hands-on experience with T-SQL, including functions, stored procedures, views, triggers, complex queries, query optimization, and indexing. - Min 3 years of experience with ETL concepts and at least one ETL tool. - Proficiency in RDBMS concepts, including CAP Theory, redo and rollback functionalities, and performance by design principles. - Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling techniques. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
