Quality Assurance Analyst - Functional Testing

Job Title : QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Job Summary : We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of testing, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Key Responsibilities : Test Planning and Design : - Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans. - Create detailed test cases and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories. Types of Testing : - Functional Testing : Validate the software against business requirements. - Regression Testing : Ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing features. - Integration Testing : Verify that different modules or services work together as expected. - System Testing : Validate the complete and integrated software product. - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Facilitate testing by end-users to ensure the system meets their needs. - Performance Testing : Assess application responsiveness and stability under load using tools like JMeter. - Load Testing : Evaluate system performance under anticipated load conditions. - Stress Testing : Determine the limits of the system by testing under extreme conditions. - Security Testing : Identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection measures are in place. - Compatibility Testing : Ensure the application works across different devices, browsers, and operating systems. - Smoke Testing : Conduct preliminary testing to check the basic functionality of the application. - Sanity Testing : Verify specific functionalities after changes have been made. - Exploratory Testing : Discover defects through unscripted and ad-hoc testing. - End-to-End Testing : Validate the entire workflow of the application from start to finish. Automation Testing : - Collaborate with the automation team to develop automated test scripts for repetitive testing tasks. - Identify opportunities for test automation to enhance testing efficiency. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test cases, results, and defects. - Provide regular status reports on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience (3 years) in software testing across various types of testing. - Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, QTP) and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
