Cassandra DB Administrator

Role : Cassandra DB Administrator. Location : Remote. Notice Period : Should be able to join from Oct 28th Monday. Qualifications : - Database Administration and Database Design skills. - Troubleshooting and Replication expertise. - Experience in managing large databases. - Knowledge of database technologies like Cassandra. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. In this role, you'll be responsible for : - Designing, configuring, and maintaining a scalable Cassandra cluster. - Optimizing data models for high availability and performance. - Monitoring cluster health, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks. - Implementing automated backups and recovery procedures. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues. - Working with application developers to ensure efficient data access. - Staying current with the latest advancements in Cassandra technology. To be successful, you'll need : - 3 years of experience administering Cassandra databases. - Solid understanding of Cassandra architecture, data models, and CQL scripting. - Experience with troubleshooting and replication strategies. - Experience managing large, distributed databases in a production environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred). Bonus points if you have : - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. - Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
