Job description Are you interested in new technology and have an electrical , mechanical or hydraulics background? Do you enjoy working with your hands and bring solutions to technical problems? We are looking for an Offshore Service Technician to work in Oostende. At Vestas you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with the global presence within wind energy and contribute to a greener world. Region NCE>SBU NCE Service>Borssele The Vestas Offshore Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines in multiple windfarms in the North Sea within the Netherlands and Belgium. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees. Responsibilities Complete maintenance on electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems as directed by Supervisor. Maintaining and upgrading installation activities. Carrying out a diversity of check-ups, repairs and replacement activities of turbine components. Creating follow-up orders. Responsible for a frictionless operation of our turbines and use of our systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control. Contribute to a safe working environment in general. Registration of time and material consumption. Compliance to Vestas' and client's procedures, processes, policies and instructions Profile Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university Fluent English knowledge, Dutch would be an added advantage. Ideally 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical field Good knowledge of MS Office Driving license category B Competencies Great problem solving skills Team-oriented person Organised and committed Comfortable working offshore and at heights, coping with the respective issues that this brings You recognize your own limitations and willing to seek help when needed Offer We offer a busy job, an innovative learning environment and opportunities for career development at a well-known wind turbine manufacturer.
