Senior Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails

Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This role involves developing and maintaining robust, scalable applications with a focus on Ruby on Rails, Microservices, and DevSecOps practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup, contributing to our agile development environment. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, test, and maintain scalable applications with a focus on Ruby on Rails. - Design and implement APIs and web services aligned with RESTful principles. - Build secure and efficient DevSecOps solutions, integrating security practices within CI/CD pipelines. - Develop and maintain Microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, communicating effectively to deliver software solutions. - Drive process improvement initiatives and actively share knowledge within the team. - Document code and produce well-tested software that meets performance standards. - Use source control systems like Git/GitHub and employ branching models such as GitFlow. Required Skills & Experience : - 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in a commercial software environment. - Strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails. - In-depth experience with API and web development. - Experience designing security solutions in DevOps/IaC environments, with a focus on DevSecOps and pipeline security automation. - Proficiency in Microservices architecture. - Excellent knowledge of RESTful services. - Strong understanding of Source Code Control Systems (Git, GitHub) and branching models (e., GitFlow). - Commitment to writing well-tested and documented code. - Ability to work effectively in an Agile/SCRUM/Lean software development environment (ref:hirist.tech)
