Introduction

The Team:
The Public Affairs function is made up of four pillars:
  • Corporate Reputation Management
  • Media, Transactions and Issues Management
  • Brand Building and Positioning
  • Digital Storytelling and Campaign Management
This role will reside within the Digital Storytelling and Campaign Management pillar, but regularly cover cross-pillar assignments based on intended project outcomes.

The Role:
As the functional owner of Temasek's corporate website and other strategic institutional web properties, this role will drive the day-to-day positioning, projection and protection of the Temasek brand in the digital space. The role focuses on developing content and audience engagement strategies across owned as well as 3rd party properties that align with business objectives and corporate positioning, including narrating brand stories to relevant audiences and protecting the firm's reputation by addressing misinformation and clarifying misperceptions in a timely and responsive manner. This role combines web growth marketing with content production and management, focusing on generating traffic and brand visibility across web platforms.

The candidate must be highly adaptable and can effectively contribute within matrix structures in a fast-paced and dynamic cross-functional, cross-cultural environment.

Responsibilities
  • Web management and production: Support various business owners and teams across the firm to bridge meaningful connections for online audiences landing on the website(s), ensuring that web content is edited, arranged and optimised to present the best possible user experience;
  • Digital and social data analytics: Analyse content performance and translate qualitative data into concrete recommendations for optimising click through into the website(s) via various social and digital media channels;
  • Programme management: Being the primary point of contact for business and corporate stakeholders for the development and updating of the corporate website and relevant institutional web properties;
  • Corporate reputation management: Support Public Affairs and various functional teams across the firm to track and publish timely alerts pertaining to frauds/impersonations/scams
  • Digital media strategy: Implement best-in-class content strategy and media plans on social/digital media platforms including Outbrain, Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, WeChat, YouTube and TikTok, aligned with defined business and corporate messaging objectives
  • Brand building and positioning: Utilise new technologies and best practices to optimise audience experience and contribute to uplifting Temasek's messaging and brand storytelling endeavours
  • Web content marketing: Collaborate closely across the Digital Storytelling and Campaign Management team - to drive, sustain and grow traffic to the corporate website and other high-key institutional/campaign websites;
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of direct experience in, and web content management and development, digital and social media analytics, ideally in a corporate environment. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related fields preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience managing web marketing campaigns will be a strong plus
  • Proficient working-level knowledge of digital analytics and management tools, such as Google Analytics, Rebrandly, Sprinklr and Adobe Experience Manager.
  • A working-level understanding of the web platform landscape (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Java etc.) will be highly advantageous.
  • Keen interest and experience in UX/UI design and audience experience
  • Keen understanding and interest in evolving audience needs across various digital and social media platforms.
  • Content optimising and marketing experience across videos, short form and long form storytelling, and podcasts.
  • Demonstrable experience managing digital agencies, vendors, and digital content partners in a multi-stakeholder setting.
  • Excellent team player with the confidence to share with other team members or senior colleagues on areas of domain expertise, balanced with the capacity to learn about the company, its culture, its business, and its intended audiences.
