IT Automation Engineer - SOAR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : - Improves efficiency, reduces errors, and removes tedium by designing, developing, and maintaining automations - Works alongside SMEs in the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response (IR) teams to translate their manual and/or semi-automated processes into fully automated workflows - Responsible for analyzing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and documenting new SOAR (Security Orchestration and Automation Response) playbooks to extend the existing automation capabilities of the Security Operations Center (SOC) - Creates high-quality automations for internal customers using a range of tools - Looks for, and implements, solutions to problems our users don`t know they have - Autonomously drive automation efforts with minimal supervision - Facilitate and lead meetings of peers within the organization MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : - Experience with Python (logging, testing, object-oriented concepts, and designing ergonomic tools) - Experience working in a security operations environment - Git/GitHub/GitLab experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : - Experience developing automation playbooks - Experience in one or more security domains (defensive analyst, malware reversing, offensive security, open-source intelligence, threat intelligence) - Azure DevOps experience - Experience with command-line scripting languages, such as PowerShell and bash - Experience with workflow engines (Tines, Argo Workflows, n8n, Zapier) or other SOAR platforms (XSOAR/ Splunk SOAR/Phantom) - Exceptional written and oral communication skills - Strong organizational skills (ref:hirist.tech)
