Job Description
Responsibilities : - Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for VMware Cloud technologies, including VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, and VMware vSAN. - Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for escalated VMware Cloud incidents, problems, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). - Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of VMware Cloud solutions to meet business requirements, including architecture design, capacity planning, and performance tuning. - Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles for VMware Cloud technologies. - Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams to mentor and guide them in resolving VMware Cloud-related issues and developing their technical skills. - Drive automation and scripting initiatives to streamline VMware Cloud operations, automate repetitive tasks, and improve efficiency. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring VMware Cloud issues and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. - Stay updated on VMware Cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for infrastructure enhancements and upgrades. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, network, security, and application teams, to integrate VMware Cloud solutions into the overall IT environment. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Or equivalent work experience). - Design, implement, and maintain VMware-based cloud solutions to meet the organization's infrastructure requirements. - 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing VMware-based virtualization and cloud infrastructure. - Expert-level proficiency in VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, and VMware vSAN technologies. - Document design, implementation, and troubleshooting procedures for VMware cloud solutions. - Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or VMware PowerCLI. - Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and architectures, including private, public, and hybrid cloud models. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex VMware Cloud issues and drive resolution. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - VMware certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are required. - VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification is a plus. - Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is desirable.
