Job Description : Azure Data Engineer. Job Summary : As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data processing systems using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Your role will involve working closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to develop efficient and scalable data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, excellent knowledge of Azure services, and a passion for optimizing data workflows to support business objectives. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes on the Azure platform. - Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Implement data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other relevant Azure services. - Develop and optimize data models for analytics and reporting purposes, ensuring data quality and integrity. - Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues or data inconsistencies. - Implement security and compliance measures to protect sensitive data in accordance with company policies and industry best practices. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. - Stay up-to-date with Azure technologies and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to optimize data processing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. - Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.(Master's degree preferred). - Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with a focus on Azure cloud technologies. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure HDInsight. - Expertise in SQL programming, data modeling, and database design principles. - Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. - Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g, Power BI, Tableau) for creating dashboards and reports. - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Scala for automation and orchestration. - Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus.
