Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot

Job Description : Job Role : - Deliver solutions that meet customer's requirements, including necessary design consultations, documentation, automated testing, deployment and in-life support and driving business performance, efficiency and continuous improvement within the team - Provide technology expertise to design and deliver Integration services as scalable containerized microservices - Be instrumental in migrating the existing microservices to AWS cloud - Implement tools and automation processes to support CI/CD - Focus on best practices, technology, and delivering business value through high quality software - Support the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard - Review own work and peers' outputs to identify and flag errors or potential issues - Support engineering and operational excellence initiatives - Recommend short and long-term solutions to complex problems and follow through to make sure we solve them - Understands and is experienced with the use of a wide range of programming concepts and is also aware of and has applied a range of algorithms. - Ability to identify the root cause of the in-life problem and apply expertise and efforts to quickly find a solution. - Ability to drive the delivery of the solution end to end and provide support by working closely with stake holders and delivery team. - Resolving production issues to fix service P1-4 issues. Documenting the issue problem statement and its fix in the centralized repository for quick reference and faster delivery in case similar issue pops up. - Apply best practices to solve the generalized issues. - Can identify opportunities to use collaborative approaches and continuous improvement - Can adapt and change team processes and technical practices in a dynamic and challenging environment in order to improve quality and business value Experience you would be expected to have : Mandatory : 2 years of experience in the following technologies : - Java J2EE, Spring Boot - Microservices architecture - Unix/Linux CLI - ReSTful webservices - Basic knowledge of development using AWS - Working experience with any CI/CD tool Added advantage : - Docker - Kubernetes - AWS Serverless (EKS, DocumentDB, Lambda) - Cloud Formation / Terraform - Message Queue - Kafka (ref:hirist.tech)
