Assitant Vice President - Backend Technologies - Java/Python

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : - Software Development : Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and Python programming languages. - Code Review and Quality Assurance : Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintain code quality. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve issues. - Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance testers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Technical Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, code documentation, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure the maintainability of software applications. - Continuous Learning : Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to Java, Python, and related middleware & UI technologies. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. - Problem Solving : Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions. Demonstrate a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving to address challenges efficiently. - Adherence to Standards : Ensure compliance with organizational coding standards, architectural guidelines, and security protocols. Follow established software development processes and : QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES : - BE/B.Tech(CSE, Electronics preferred) and 7 Years of relevant experience - Solid understanding and experience in Agile SDLC approach - Strong experience in building scalable applications in Python, Flask, Dask, Celery, and PySpark - Understanding and/or basic working experience in front end technologies - ReactJS - Experience working with API Gateways (NGINX preferred) and AD authentication - Experience in testing frameworks (Junit/Mockito or Selenium/Cucumber) - Working experience in Angular. - Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, CouchDB preferred) design and queries - Experience working with any messaging system (KAFKA preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes - Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud, Kubernetes - Clear understanding of CS Algorithms and design patterns - Good project management skills including planning, risk management, and issue resolution - Excellent leadership and communication skills (ref:hirist.tech)
