AWS Applications Engineer - Python/Django

End Client : Keysight Job Title : AWS Applications Engineer (Manufacturing Applications) Time Zone : US Day (Pacific Hours including Weekends Support) Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled AWS Applications Engineer to be part of our DevOps team. This person must have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the AWS platform. This person will work closely with our DevOps teams in US & Malaysia and business teams in Santa Clara and other US locations to provide heightened support for the business operations and troubleshoot/fix issues impacting shipment/revenue. This is dedicated position to support business operations in US. This will require close coordination with other IT teams and boundary application owners (business IT Teams). Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure applications on the AWS platform. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services. - Monitor and troubleshoot application issues, ensuring timely resolution (tighter SLAs for these applications). - Stay updated with the latest AWS services and best practices. - Provide technical guidance to other team members Must have Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5 years of proven experience as an AWS Applications Engineer or similar role. - Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & Django - Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML and JavaScript. - Experience with SQL (AWS Thena) across various platforms. - Experience in supporting RESTful web services. - Hands-on experience with ETL processes and AWS services (e.g., AWS Glue, S3). - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications : - AWS Certified Developer certification. - Experience with serverless architecture and microservices. - Knowledge of database management and data migration (AWS Thena). - Proficiency in using Pandas to perform debugging on the application - Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or OpenShift. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Django, Java, or Node.js. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git). - Understanding of Security and Compliance needs and able to resolve security vulnerabilities (ref:hirist.tech)
