DevOps Cloud Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline

Key Responsibilities : 1. Technical Expertise : AWS Services : - In-depth knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM CloudFormation, and more. - They should also be familiar with newer services and stay updated with AWS`s evolving ecosystem. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : - Proficiency in tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK, with the ability to design, deploy, and manage complex infrastructures. CI/CD Pipelines : - Experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc. - They should be able to automate deployments, testing, and monitoring. Security Best Practices : - Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, network security (VPC, security groups, NACLs), data encryption, and compliance. Monitoring and Logging : - Expertise in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Wajuh, Grafana, ELK stack, Kibana etc. SIEM (Security information and event management ) : - Experience on implementing any SIEM tool. 2. Problem-Solving Skills : Troubleshooting : - Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a multi-account, multi- region AWS environment. This includes addressing performance bottlenecks, resolving connectivity issues, and handling throttling errors. Optimization : - Skill in optimizing AWS resources for cost, performance, and reliability. 3. Project Management and Collaboration : Project Leadership : - Experience leading DevOps projects, from initial planning and design to execution and maintenance. - They should be able to manage timelines, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure project success. Collaboration : - Ability to work closely with developers, QA, security, and operations teams. - They should be able to bridge the gap between different teams, ensuring smooth DevOps practices. 4. Mentorship and Team Development : Mentoring : - As a senior, they should mentor and guide junior team members, helping them grow their skills in AWS and DevOps practices. Knowledge Sharing : - Regularly share knowledge through documentation, presentations, or workshops to improve the overall team`s capabilities. 5. Continuous Improvement : Innovation : - Encourage and lead initiatives to improve the DevOps processes, tools, and methodologies in use. Learning and Adaptability : - Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with new AWS services, DevOps trends, and emerging technologies. 6. Communication Skills : - Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Documentation : - Ensure that all processes, architectures, and configurations are well-documented for future reference. 7. Crisis Management : Incident Response : - Experience in managing and leading incident response efforts, including post-mortems, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures. Skills : - Need to have AWS professional certificate Role Overview : - You are involved in the whole Software Development Lifecycle starting from analyzing requirements, developing infrastructure features, deploying and testing software as well as maintaining & continuously improving it. - Automating the creation and management of infrastructure hosted on Azure for various products and services using various tools of the trade. - Should take initiative, and continuously suggest improvements in existing processes and tools to optimize output. - A quick thinker who can troubleshoot and investigate application and infrastructure issues in production environments independently ensuring zero escalations. - A self-driven member open to working with various technologies and teams whenever required. - Should be able to properly estimate and then deliver the work within the stipulated sprint timelines (ref:hirist.tech)
