UX Design Lead - User-Centered Design

About the Product & Parent company : Product is a fast-growing, innovative School ERP product that is revolutionising educational institution management through streamlined processes across admissions, academics, and administration. Currently, already catering to around 50,000 students on the platform, the next step is to have a pan India GTM & cover top group of schools on the platform The Parent company is a large educational group headquartered out of Mumbai, having around 30 schools across the country. The Group is expanding significantly every year with organic & inorganic growth. Job Overview : We are seeking a talented and visionary UI/UX Design Lead to shape the user experience of our School ERP product. Reporting directly to the Ether leadership team and working closely with the product and technology teams, you will be crucial in creating intuitive, efficient, and delightful interfaces for our diverse user base. Responsibilities : - Lead the UI/UX design process for Ether's School ERP solution from concept to implementation - Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency across the product - Conduct user research, create user personas, and develop user journey maps to inform design decisions - Design wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes for various features and modules of the ERP system - Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and timely implementation - Facilitate design thinking workshops and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders - Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence - Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics - Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices in the EdTech space Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field - 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably for B2B SaaS or EdTech products - Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and problem-solving skills - Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar - Experience with design systems and component-based design - Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles - Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus Skills : - User-centered design methodologies - Information architecture and interaction design - Visual design and typography - Prototyping and wireframing - User research and usability testing - Strong communication and presentation skills - Team leadership and mentoring abilities Location : - Mumbai (ref:hirist.tech)
