Senior Automation Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

Job description : Job Title : Senior Automation Architect. Experience : 10 years in Software Automation Testing About the Role : We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Architect to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Senior Automation Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust automation strategies and frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will lead the automation efforts, mentor teams, and work closely with developers, testers, and DevOps engineers to establish and optimize test automation pipelines. Key Responsibilities : - Automation Framework Design & Development : Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, and other relevant tools. - Programming Expertise : Write efficient, reusable, and reliable test scripts in Java and Python to ensure maximum test coverage and reliability. - Test Automation Strategy : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive the overall test automation strategy, ensuring alignment with CI/CD pipelines and Agile processes. - CI/CD Integration : Integrate test automation solutions into Azure DevOps pipelines to enable continuous testing and seamless deployment. - Mentorship & Leadership : Guide and mentor junior automation engineers, reviewing their work, providing feedback, and fostering continuous learning and improvement. - Tool Evaluation & Selection : Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance automation capabilities and improve testing efficiency. - Performance Optimization : Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance test automation performance to meet the scale and complexity of the system under test. - Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless execution of test automation in the development lifecycle. Requirements : Experience : - Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing. - Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, and other automation tools. - Strong proficiency in Java and Python for writing automation scripts. - Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and integration with Azure DevOps. Technical Skills : - Strong expertise in test automation tools : Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, JUnit/TestNG, Appium (mobile testing), RestAssured (API testing), etc. - Strong knowledge of Java, Python, and related testing libraries. - Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, build/release management, and test execution in DevOps pipelines). - Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git). - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a fast-paced agile environment. Soft Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Leadership and mentoring abilities. - Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
