REPORTING TO: Pipeline Installation Lead Engineer Methods - Pipeline Group

LOCATION: Based in Suresnes, France

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The installation senior Methods – Pipeline Group role incorporates the full installation process from the procedure preparation up to the following of offshore operation. She/he is responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation engineering on projects or tenders with specific focus on safe and cost effective installation operations.

She/He can be in charge of a team of installation engineers, dealing with different pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay) for a package on project or tender.

She/he is responsible to the installation engineering Lead – Pipeline Group, Engineering Package Lead – Pipeline Group for the efficient day-to-day management of the installation engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters and resource management.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Overall Responsibilities:

1. Manage technically an engineering team within projects/tenders
2. Accountable for planning of the scope of her/his team
3. Manage delegated external (clients, subcontractors) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, SCM)
4. Technical reference for pipeline installation, contribute to the subcontractors selection
5. Involved in the conceptual studies
6. Performs installation procedures
7. Ensures that installation procedures and associated calculations are in line
8. Ensures that specifications and norms related to the project are respected
9. Provides support to offshore operations with possible short periods offshore or on yard
10. Participates actively to engineers training and development
11. Participates actively to the PG department know-how consolidation
12. Proposes innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction

Support standards and procedures for the Engineering and Operations Functions

KEY RELATIONSHIPS/ STAKEHOLDERS

External: Client technical representative on project

Internal: PG Lead Methods, Project Engineering Managers, PG Package Lead

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

5 to 10 years of Experience on Pipeline installation (with company like SAIPEM/ TFMC/ Allseas or equivalent)
