Anson McCade are currently working with Europe's most successful Integrated Defence Company who are in search of a Kubernetes Expert (Platform Engineer) to join their internal engineering team.

In this evolving role, you will provide guidance to internal teams on the discovery and effective use of Docker and Kubernetes, while developing reusable container solutions for broader organizational use.

You'll manage the Kubernetes environment, ensuring its health, performance, and scalability for future growth. You will collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support container environments for rapid application development and testing. Additionally, the role will involve contributing to wider automation efforts aimed at enhancing IT services.

What you'll need:

* Strong knowledge of technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Harbor, Helm, Nexus, Artifactory, Python, GitLab, and Ansible.

* Proficiency with Linux OS, particularly RHEL, along with strong command-line and scripting skills (bash, python) for automating tasks.

* Expertise in automation tools, such as Ansible, for automating deployment and configuration tasks.

* Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure continuous service, and knowledge of security best practices for managing Kubernetes and container environments.

* Capability to organize and lead workshops, educating colleagues on Kubernetes platforms and container creation.

* Ability to support internal teams by defining containerized architectures, deploying, debugging, and optimizing solutions across the organization.

* Familiarity with OpenShift and CI/CD processes would be advantageous.
