Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Reddish, Stockport
Start Date: November 2024
Salary: £90 – £100 per day

GSL Education is seeking 3 Graduate Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 and small group support for a large Secondary School in Stockport. The School is highly reputable, with a proud history, having served the young people of Stockport. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the School was judged to be ‘Good’.
Graduate Teaching Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:
- To work under the SENCO to support access to learning for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- To work with students with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- To work collaboratively with class teachers to manage pupil behaviour and engagement.
- To establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and to engage in activities led by the teacher.
- Encourage pupils to work independently as appropriate.
- Participate in training and other learning activities as required.
- Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including at breaktimes and at lunchtimes as required.
