Job Title:Lecturer in Media
Job Type:Proportional contract (7.5 hours per week)Salary:£31,788- £35,777 FTE. The actual salary will be pro rata based on hours and weeks worked. Estimated salary based on start date of 4th November £4147.51-£4667.97
We are seeking a part-time lecturer in media to provide high-quality teaching and pastoral support for all students and support the mission, aims, and strategic objectives of the college. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop resources and teaching materials to meet course frameworks and learning outcomes.
- Teach an appropriate timetable in accordance with College Policy.
- Develop assessments to accurately measure students performance and understanding.
- Set, mark, and assess students work, ensuring that learning outcomes have been met and that feedback is both detailed and constructive.
- Keep up to date with relevant course subject matter, industrial/commercial developments, course examination/assessment requirements, and legislation.
- Participate in the development of internal and external partnerships to disseminate information, share best practice, establish opportunities for collaborative work, and enhance the reputation of the College.
- Participate in networks to build new relationships that benefit both the Directorate and the College.
- A degree in media (or related subject)
- A Cert Ed or equivalent
- Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent)
- Ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives.
- Full or part-time teaching experience on entry level 1, 2 and 3 in media.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, or equivalent packages.
- Experience of designing and delivering content and/or learning materials within existing frameworks.
