Job Description
Labour Hire are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
Responsibilities:
* Managing the subcontractor to ensure the works are completed in line with the project documentation.
* Reviewing of the shop drawings and coordinate with other departments to ensure full functionality of the system.
* Coordinating the material flow as per site schedule.
* Supervise installation of BMS hardware and software ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
* Supervise system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase.
* Coordinate project documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.
* Work closely with construction manager, contractors, and other related departments as well as attending project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and prepare required reports.
* Ensure all BMS installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and stay updated on changes in building codes and BMS technologies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
* Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) would be preferable.
* Membership in professional bodies such as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) would be preferable.
* Understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
* Previous experience 5-8 years in building management systems.
* Experience working on construction sites and understanding site safety practices.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
* CSCS site qualification.
