Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teacher, passionate about making a difference for children with complex needs? We are seeking an Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our specialised Complex Needs Hub in Felixstowe, Suffolk. This exciting role provides the opportunity to work with young learners with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, non-verbal communication challenges, and personal care requirements.
About the Role
As an Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teacher in our Complex Needs Hub in Felixstowe, Suffolk, you will:
Develop and implement tailored learning plans, supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of each child.
Use engaging and innovative teaching activities designed to stimulate learning within a structured, sensory-rich environment.
Collaborate with a skilled team of teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure all needs are met.
Work closely with families, offering essential support to help each child reach their full potential.
Undertake personal care responsibilities, maintaining the well-being and dignity of each pupil.
About You
Our ideal Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teacher will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or a strong interest in working with children with complex needs, ideally within the Early Years or Key Stage 1 setting.
Possess a good understanding of autism, non-verbal communication needs, and sensory processing disorders, and demonstrate eagerness to continue developing in these areas.
Demonstrate resilience, patience, and a nurturing approach in supporting children who require high levels of care.
Be committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
