Job Description
The Estimator Contractor:
Reddbrick are recruiting for a Sub Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects Nationally. Currently, they are seeking an Estimator to join their team and manage projects throughout the region. Experience of passive fire works and fit out works would be beneficial.
The Estimator role
The Estimator will play a key role in the planning and financial management of Fit out and passive fire schemes. They will support the Bid team and support with tenders.
Estimator Responsibilities
* Populating your cost plan to support development appraisals, design solutions, validation of designs and benchmarking will be second nature to you.
* Prequalification of opportunities.
* Working on a variety of tendering forms, whilst identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process..
* Track and report on project costs and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from budget.
* Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options to optimise project efficiency and quality.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on costs and timelines.
Estimator requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
* 3 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on Passive Fire Work and or Fit out Projects.
* Proficiency with estimating software including excel and MS Office Suite.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple bids and proposals.
