Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description
Westlakes Recruit are currently looking for several project engineers, on a contract basis, for work in the Reading area.
The candidate will:
Lead and manage emergent engineering projects from initiation to completion.
Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, tailored to the specific requirements of emergent projects.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and production, to ensure timely project execution.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
Identify and analyse technical issues that require immediate attention, developing innovative solutions to address them.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and implement solutions that meet project requirements.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, ensuring that solutions are feasible and effective.
Evaluate and troubleshoot emergent engineering problems, making adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in emergent engineering projects.
Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and present detailed project reports, including technical documentation, cost analysis, and timelines.
Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project developments and any potential risks or delays.
Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilisation.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure necessary materials and components.The candidate will ideally have:
HNC/HND/Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
Experience as a Project Construction Engineer within a infrastructure project-based environment.
Experience working within large scale projects, ideally in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
