QUALITATIVE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

UP TO £65,000

LONDON


Harnham is working exclusively with a dynamic and innovative consumer-focused research agency renowned for delivering cutting-edge insights across multiple sectors, including FMCG, automotive, lifestyle, and technology. As they continue to expand, they're now looking for a passionate Qualitative Associate Director to lead qualitative research initiatives and shape the future of our projects.



THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Qualitative Associate Director would have the following responsibilites:


  • Lead the design, execution, and delivery of qualitative research projects across FMCG, automotive, lifestyle, and other consumer sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner to understand their business challenges and deliver actionable insights.
  • Craft compelling research proposals, methodologies, and discussion guides tailored to meet client needs.
  • Facilitate qualitative research activities, including moderating focus groups, conducting in-depth interviews, ethnography, and running online communities.
  • Synthesize findings into strategic insights and present results in a clear and impactful way to clients.
  • Manage and mentor a team of qualitative researchers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other research teams and departments to integrate qualitative insights with quantitative data for holistic analysis.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and innovative qualitative research techniques to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of consumer insights.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The Qualitative Associate Director will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in qualitative research, preferably in an agency setting, with exposure to multiple consumer sectors such as FMCG, automotive, and lifestyle.
  • Proven expertise in various qualitative methodologies, including focus groups, IDIs, ethnography, and online qualitative techniques.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with a track record of developing lasting client relationships and delivering strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to design and oversee qualitative research projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling stories.
  • Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and guiding junior researchers.
