Quality Systems & NPI Engineer
Coventry
Up to £42500pa
Role Purpose
To support the client in delivering quality milestones concerning the Business Management System (BMS), core documents, and maintaining ISO9001 / IATF 16949 accreditations.
Main Duties
Develop and manage quality systems and processes (IATF16949, ISO9001, AS9100 Rev D).
Conduct site audits in compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949, and AS9100 Rev D standards.
Evaluate and review existing business processes, supporting the introduction of business process improvements.
Lead and develop the Business Management System (BMS).
Promote the use of customer-preferred continuous improvement techniques, such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop or improve core documents related to current products, aligning with BMS and external accreditations.
Create FMEA’s, Control Plans, and internal documentation.
Communicate directly with customers and internal stakeholders.
Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Act as the direct interface between external customers and internal engineering/projects and production teams as needed.
Support Metrology tasks.
Ensure quality milestones are achieved.
Requirements/Skills
Proven background in Quality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude towards change, with flexibility to adapt to new circumstances.
Ability to plan and manage objectives and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in reading Engineering Drawings.
Analytical problem-solving approach, offering innovative and practical solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques.
Experience in maintaining ISO9001, IATF16949, and AS9100 Rev D accreditations.
Core Tools: FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP, etc.
Other Skills: Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
Qualifications
HNC Qualification in manufacturing or engineering, or equivalent experience.
Desirable: IATF16949 / ISO9001 / AS9100 Rev D: Lead auditor or internal auditor training.
Experience with Polyworks or Geomagic Software for measurements
