Job Description
Mechanical Site Manager – London – Salary £65,000.00 - £75,000.00 Per Annum, Car Allowance, Full Travel, Pension, Healthcare, Bonus, 26 days holiday
Client: With a portfolio of projects in the UK client is recognised as a market leading building services contractor. They are renowned for large refurb and new build projects in commercial office and public sectors.
Clients include major law and financial companies,Government, Healthcare as well as large blue chip main contractors. I addition they are part of a larger construction group of companies which boast a turnover in excess of £1Billion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing £10 Million plus mechanical package, reporting into a lead project manager. The project will be a large commercial refurb of an existing building including the upgrade of all shell and core services up to CAT A. Key to this role is managing the project at site level; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Design Review (scope gaps / clashes)
* Short term programming.
* Health & Safety (RAMS).
* Technical Submissions.
* Preparation/issuing all RFI.
* Sub-contractor coordination.
* Management of commissioning stages
* Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
* Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
The ideal candidate:
* Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical services
* Experience working in the commercial sector
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5M in Mechanical value
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to tier one main contractor
