Kidderminster
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role:
Concept Resources is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join the operations team at a well-established engineering company in Kidderminster. This role supports the production engineering team as they advance manufacturing capabilities to meet growing business demands. You’ll be pivotal in solving manufacturing issues, optimizing production processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of shop floor safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop suitable methods, processes, and instructions to manufacture products that meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
- Design and implement machine/tooling modifications to optimize output.
- Manage capital projects from concept through to introduction.
- Address production bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues.
- Design basic jigs, fixtures, test equipment, and tooling as needed.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to production staff.
- Create standard operating procedures for technical tasks and process control.
- Ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess productivity.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Work alongside the Quality team to validate quality control system effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- HNC/HND or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a production manufacturing environment.
Experience:
- Essential:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and techniques, such as value stream mapping, 6S, Kanban, Kaizen, MRL, PFMEA, and SPC.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001 standards.
- Competency in project delivery and problem-solving.
- Experience within a strong health and safety culture.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
