Job Description
Ridgeway and co are partnering with a leading Residential contractor in their search for an Facade manager located in Peckham paying up to £350 per day. This position a contract role on a high-profile, £80 million residential project which will run for 6 months.
This Façade Manager role involves overseeing the comprehensive façade package on a high-value (£80 million) residential new build in Peckham. The Façade Manager will work closely with an on-site Façade Lead to ensure successful delivery of the façade elements. The façade package includes key components like:
* Steel Framing Systems (SFS)
* Brickwork
* Fire Stopping
* Scaffolding
* Windows and Glazing
* Roofing
* Balconies
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Team and Site Management:
* Lead and manage large teams effectively, leveraging strong people skills and technical knowledge of construction methodologies and scheduling.
* Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with project timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.
2.
Technical Oversight:
* Oversee all stages of the façade package, from design and material selection to installation and testing.
* Apply solid understanding of façade materials, construction techniques, structural standards, and safety requirements, especially with fire stopping and other safety-critical elements.
3.
Stakeholder Coordination:
* Communicate and coordinate with architects, sub-contractors, and engineers to achieve design and operational objectives.
* Present clear and concise design concepts to stakeholders and address any design or construction challenges.
4.
Risk and Safety Management:
* Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed on-site.
* Quickly and effectively address any risks or issues that arise during construction, ensuring that project objectives and deadlines are met.
Requirements:
* CSCS Black Card: Required for a senior construction management role, indicating advanced skills and experience.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme): Ensures that the manager is qualified to manage health and safety on a construction site.
* First Aid at Work: Certification to ensure on-site first aid capabilities.
