The Client
Our client is a company that specialises in complete drainage services to corporate clients managing domestic and small commercial drainage failures. The company provides a quick and competitively priced response to their clients’ needs whether it be a simple blockage, a drain collapse or a burst water pipe. Our client is intensely proud of what they do, and they are committed to getting the job done. They use their own knowledge and cutting-edge technology to put things right and will act swiftly every step along the way. Due to recent expansion, they currently have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team in a remote/hybrid role, working autonomously with the support of their senior leadership team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Identify new market opportunities and sectors to drive business growth,
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business development strategies
Develop and implement a robust business development plan that aligns with the company’s overall objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, and industry partners.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns, promotional materials, and digital content that target new and existing markets.
Lead and manage the bid and tender process from inception to submission, ensuring that proposals are competitive and compelling.
Work closely with technical teams to gather necessary information for tenders and ensure that client requirements are met.
Provide accurate and meaningful information to senior management on sales pipelines and performance.
Key Requirements
Extensive experience within a sales or account management environment, ideally within drainage or a similar sector
Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
Proactive and able to use own initiative to solve problems and implement processes.
Leadership skills.
Sales target and service driven with the ability to motivate others in the team towards the achievement of targets.
The Rewards
The rewards for the successful candidate are good. The company are willing to pay a competitive starting salary of £50,000, and a good benefits package including car allowance and uncapped bonus structure, enhanced pension, holiday scheme and other key benefits
