About the Firm:
A leading law firm in Birmingham, known for providing expert legal services across a wide range of disciplines, is seeking a talented Family Solicitor with 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its well-established Family Law department. The department is highly regarded for delivering compassionate and comprehensive legal advice to clients facing challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, cohabitation disputes, and pre-nuptial agreements.
- They will provide legal advice and representation in both private and public family law matters.
- The solicitor will handle complex cases involving high-net-worth individuals and matters with an international element.
- Advocacy in court hearings and managing disputes effectively to achieve the best outcomes for clients will be key aspects of the role.
- They will engage in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods where appropriate.
- Drafting legal documents, such as statements, agreements, and court applications, will form a part of daily responsibilities.
- The solicitor will be expected to build and maintain strong client relationships, providing a high level of service throughout each case.
- They will work collaboratively with other solicitors and departments within the firm to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years PQE in family law.
- Strong knowledge of family law and court procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex matters.
- Experience handling high-net-worth cases or international family law matters is desirable.
- Strong advocacy skills and the ability to represent clients in court confidently.
- A client-focused approach and the ability to build lasting relationships.
