Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Nights
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £17.50 per hour, 25% shift allowance.
Hours: Sunday to Wednesday 10pm – 6am & Thursday 10pm – 5am
Our client, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions, dedicated to empowering customers and protecting the world. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing both routine and emergency repairs, conducting inspections, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise equipment performance. This role involves hands-on repair work as well as collaboration with external contractors and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, performing repairs as needed.
Inspect equipment and systems regularly to identify and prevent potential problems.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Work collaboratively with various departments to schedule maintenance work.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals.
Experience with logic controllers and automation systems.
Welding skills are a ideal.
Supervisory skills to lead a team of technicians.
Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
