Job Title: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Nottingham, UK
Contract: Full-Time (Part-Time Positions Available)
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
Aspire People is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team within a specialist SEN setting in Nottingham. This is a full-time role with part-time positions also available for the right candidates.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), providing tailored support to meet their individual learning, personal, and emotional needs. This is a rewarding role where you'll make a real difference to students' lives, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND needs.
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Help students with personal care routines where required.
Support students in accessing the curriculum in a way that meets their needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote student well-being.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
About You:
Essential:
Previous experience working with SEND students in a UK-based setting.
Knowledge of a range of SEND needs (Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people with SEND.
Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced and varied environment.
