Teacher of History - Full-time & long-term position

Teacher of History

  • Full-time and long-term position
  • Teaching History at KS3 and KS4
  • Leicester-based Secondary School

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed History teacher to join their team in August. You will be teaching History to KS3 and KS4. ECTs are welcome to apply. KS5 experience would be desired but not essential.

Job Description:
  • Delivering engaging and creative history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in History or related field
  • Recent experience teaching History at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
